What are payment gateways?
A Payment gateway is that e-commerce service provider which acts as an intermediary between the website and transactions. Payment Gateway assesses required security to the one who is performing an operation; it provides authorization to the payment procedure between merchant and customer.
RazorPay is again one the biggest platform for payment gateways in India. It supports Net Banking, E-wallets, EMI and UPI. It provides instant activation and has 100+ payment modes. It’s a GST ready payment gateway. It does not charge any setup fees, hidden fees or annual fees.
CCAVENUE is most significant among the many payment gateway providers in India and completes the transaction within a few minutes of activation of the deal. It tenders more than 200 payment options comprising of six credit cards AMEX, JCB, DINNER CLUB, MASTERCARD, EZELICK, AND VISA. CCAVENUE is the multilingual global platform it is available in 18 major Indian languages and other international languages too. CCAVENUE also helps in international trading due to its accessibility in 27 currencies. CCAVENUE is free for initial setup, and its annual maintenance account charges start from Rs 1200. It charges its 2% commission on every transaction done through domestic credit or debit cards (Maestro, MasterCard, RUPAY) and e-wallets (PayTm, PhonePe, Mobikwik, etc.), 2% on IMPS and UPS transactions and 3% on international card transactions.
Instamojo is e-commerce platform providing payment gateway services. It is available in nominal charges. It has supported e-commerce CMS system. It is not available in multiple currencies but just Indian Rupee. Neither it supports international transactions via debit or credit cards. They do not charge any amount for annual maintenance but it’s transaction fees per trade is 2% plus Rs 3 per transfer.
Paytm has established itself well in the market as a leading online payment wallet. It supports all the domestic and international debit cards (but only domestic credit cards) which create the hassle-free gateway for any transaction. Payment is made within a few minutes of the initiated transaction, and the merchant could go live after two days when the transaction is settled. PayTm charges Rs 5000 as initial setup fees and they do not have any minimum annual business requirement. Its transactional fees are 1.99% per transaction via all the international or domestic debit cards or domestic credit cards.
5. CASHFREE PAYMENT GATEWAY
Cashfree payment gateway is one of the largest payment gateway service providers in the country. It has the lowest per transaction charges in India @ 1.95% per transaction. It has the broadest range of payment options available. It supports all the cards and 70+ Netbanking options, seven major leading mobile wallets (Paytm, Mobikwik, Airtel, Freecharge, etc.). It also supports IMPS, UPI, NEFT, and PayPal transactions. It’s an integrated payment gateway with zero initial charges, zero annual maintenance fees, and zero yearly minimum business requirements. It’s per transaction fees is @ 1.95% per transaction for all the domestic cards and wallets whereas 3.5% for international cards. It also has the options for EMI and credit and is purely online based; you need your identity verification by uploading it on the internet. Also, it supports more than 28 currencies.
Atom Paynetz payment gateway services are promoted and advertised by the FT group. It’s one of the most innovative service providers with over 100 payments options and has more than 4500 merchants all over the country. Atom Pay does not provide international card transactions it is purely domestic; it does not charge any withdrawal fees. Within 5 to 6 days of the transaction, it can present all the documents and evidence of the transaction. It’s annual maintenance charges are Rs 2400 and transaction fees per transaction for credit cards is @ 2.1% for debit cards, transactions less than Rs 2000 0.75% and above 2000 it is 1%.
Paypal is one of the largest global payment platforms it has done the transactions over 4 billion since 2014 and is available in more than 200 countries. Paypal accounts hold more than 100 currencies. It supports International and domestic card payments, but for international transaction, Paypal can be used just to receive the transactions by Indian only. It has multicurrency support which is above 56 currencies. It does not charge any withdrawal fees. It does not charge any annual maintenance fees, and it’s transactional fees per transaction is 4.4% + US$0.3
8. EBS PAYMENT GATEWAY
EBS is the E-Billing solutions; it is the first ever service provider which has achieved the PCIDSS 3.0 compliance. It is verified and certified by ISO 27001-2013. It is one of the most secure merchant providers in the world. It does not charge any withdrawal fees neither initial setup fees. They charge Rs 2400 as annual maintenance, and you have to pay one-time setup fees which is variable, and so the transaction fees per transaction vary according to the package selected.
Fonepaisa is the locus of worlds mobile and payments together. It is interoperable payment solutions. It provides a massive amount of payment solutions which can be imparted in B2B and B2C operations. It has advanced UPI, scan and pay, withdrawal gateway, subscription payment, multicurrency support. It also supports international payments. It’s transaction fees per transaction is 2% on domestic cards, 3.5% on international cards, 3% on American Express, 2% on Net Banking, 0.7% UPI and 2% on wallets.
Direcpay is again one of the largest payment gateway merchants in India. It has an international payment card support with refundable security of Rs 30000. It also has multicurrency support and zero withdrawal fees. It supports e-commerce CMS systems with mobile integration. Its transactional fees per transaction are 2% for all the Net banking and credit and debit card payments but 3% for Amex, Ezeclick, JCB, and Diners.
