Grammy, do you even need any introduction? A massive musical award show for which music lovers and celebrities wait with bated breath. This year it was the 61st year for the Grammy. The award show honors all the esteemed musicians and music composers. The 2019 Grammy was a grand event like every year, and it is hosted by Alicia Keys, who has accumulated a dozen Grammy under her basket.

2019 Grammy has witnessed a women-centric award show as many women musicians were honored. Women won the most significant categories. Moreover, it was a night for trending artists. Album of the Year

Golden Hour by Kacey Musgraves is the winner.  The category had other popular names like Cardi B – Invasion of Privacy, Drake – Scorpion, Post Malone – Beerbongs & Bentleys, and Janelle Monáe for Dirty Computer. All the albums were one of a kind, but The Grammyswas received by the one which has outshined the list.

 

Song of the year

The most awaited award is always about the song of the year. Artists wait for a year and work hard to receive this prestigious Grammy. The 2019 Grammy for the best song was won by Childish Gambino for his song This Is America. Other nominees were Drake for God’s Plan, Kendrick Lamar & SZA for All the Stars, Zedd, Maren Morris & Grey for The Middle, Post Malone ft 21 Savage for Rockstar.

 

Best Debut Artist

The preceding year has seen a number of new artists joining the music industry. Out of them, the following names made it to the nominees’ list for the best debutant artist. Chloe x Halle, Greta Van Fleet, Margo Price, Jorja Smith, Luke Combs, and Dua Lipa was announced as the winner for this category.

 

Best pop duo and group performance

The nominees were Christina Aguilera ft Demi Lovato – Fall in Line, Tony Bennett and Diana Krall – ’S Wonderful, Maroon 5 ft Cardi B – Girls Like You, Zedd, Maren Morris, and Grey – The Middle, and the winner was announced as Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper – Shallow.

 

Best pop solo performance

Among the topmost nominees that listed Camila Cabello – Havana (live), Post Malone – Better Now, Beck – Colors, and the winner was none other than Lady Gaga for Joanne Where Do You Think You’re Goin’?

 

Best Country Album

It was also won by Golden Hour, Kacey Musgraves. Among the nominees were Kelsea Ballerini – Unapologetically,  Ashley McBryde – Girl Going Nowhere, Chris Stapleton – From a Room, and Brothers Osborne – Port Saint Joe.

 

Best Country Song

Space Cowboy, Kacey Musgraves. the nominees were some of your favorites namely Cole Swindell – Break Up in the End, Blake Shelton – I Lived In, Dan + Shay – Tequila, and Maren Morris ft Vince Gill – Dear Hate.

 

Best rap album

The winner was Cardi B for his amazing Invasion of Privacy. The nominees were Nipsey Hussle – Victory Lap, Travis Scott – Astroworld, and Pusha T – Daytona.

 

Producer of the year, non-classical

‘It might seem crazy what am about to say’ but Music producers are one of the factors for the success of the label, and the Grammy for 2019 in this category goes to our all-time favorite Pharrell Williams.

 

Best Rock song

From the list of preeminent bands like Greta Van Fleet, Twenty One Pilots, Bring Me the Horizon, and Ghost, the clear winner was St Vincent for Masseducation.

 

Best urban contemporary album

This category has seen new artists followed by the established ones, and this year the winner is The Carters for Everything Is Love. Paving the way to the Grammy among Chris Dave and the Drumhedz, Miguel, and Miguel, our winner has music imbibed within the soul.

 

Best dance and electronic album

From a group of classic dance albums from the year like Jon Hopkins,  Sofi Tukker, SOPHIE, and TOKiMONSTA, the winner is Woman Worldwide: Justice. Dance songs have grooved the nation and the Grammy will surely help them to rise ahead and develop awesome music in the future.
